The Batarang is one of the most recognizable throwing weapons in popular culture. Inspired by the shape of a bat and made famous by Batman, there are versions designed specifically for target practice.
At The Axe Club Barcelona, it’s not all about throwing axes. Throughout the experience, you can discover different techniques and throwing objects, including the throwing batarang, always following our instructors’ guidance and the club’s safety rules.
Although its shape and technique differ from those of an axe, it shares something fundamental with axe throwing: getting the object to spin correctly and land in the bullseye requires technique, distance, and practice.
The Batarang is an object shaped like a bat, best known as part of Batman's arsenal. Its name combines the words " bat " and " boomerang."
Outside of fiction, there are recreational versions designed for target practice. Their shape, weight, and balance make the technique different from that of throwing an axe.
At The Axe Club, we use the Batarang as one of the objects with which to experiment with different throwing techniques. The challenge is to control its movement and ensure it reaches the target correctly oriented.
Although axe throwing is the main attraction at The Axe Club, it's not the only challenge you can try. We also have other throwing objects that require different techniques and let you test your aim in a different way.
Ninja stars: small, fast, and thrown differently than an axe. The goal remains the same: control the throw and hit the target.
Dart throws: one of the most surprising challenges. Throwing a dart with enough precision and technique to hit the bullseye seems easy… until you try it.
Batarang: Its unique shape makes throwing it different from other objects. Learning to control its spin and hit the target is a new challenge, even after practicing with the axes.
