Axe Throwing is a sport that is having great acceptance in our country.
The 1st National Axe Throwing Tournament was held on April 8-9, 2023 at the The Tomahawk in Gandía Beach. The representative of our club, Alex de Haro, was proclaimed as the 1st National Axe Throwing Tournament Champion.
In the national axe-axe throwing tournament, 79 players registered and 16 axe-axe throwing halls participated. The event brought together more than a hundred people who love iron, steel and fire forging.
Pitchers from the most important halls in Spain participated in a competition where sportsmanship and an unbeatable atmosphere were the most important factors of the tournament.
One of the main objectives of this First Axe Throwing Tournament is to give more visibility to axe throwing, since in our country, this sport is considered as a leisure and recreational activity, not as a sporting discipline that can have an annual axe throwing tournament, regional and national leagues, like any other sport at a professional level.
The First Axe Throwing Tournament was broadcasted live on Youtube so that people who could not attend could follow it in real time and so that the throwers and throwers could have it as a souvenir and observe the mistakes and successes.

The first phase consisted of 20 throws. In order to qualify to play the next phase, the score had to total 60 points or more.

The third phase was a head-to-head of the qualifiers, where they competed against each other by drawing lots with 10 pitches. The winner, representing The Axe Club, Alex de Haro, was the one who beat all his rivals.

500 € for the third classified.
As a result of the interest aroused by the Tournament and the union and synergies generated in this meeting between the different Axe Throwing Clubs, we are preparing many new features that we will communicate shortly. Streaming leagues between clubs, the creation of a Catalan league of Axe Throwing and of course... the II National axe throwing Tournament to be held next May in El Hachódromo in Seville.
