If you're looking for a Viking experience in Barcelona to enjoy with friends, coworkers, or to celebrate a special occasion, at The Axe Club we've created an activity where axe throwing is just the beginning.
This experience combines axe throwing, games, competition, and a Viking atmosphere at our venue in Barcelona. Our instructors will teach you how to throw from scratch, and after some practice, you can compete in different challenges to see who has the best aim.
And after the battle, you can continue the fun in our bar area, where you'll find mead, craft beer, and Fritz soft drinks, as well as foosball, darts, Jenga, and board games.
You don't need any prior experience. All you need is a desire to try something different and closed-toe shoes, which are required to participate in the axe-throwing activity.

I'll guide you step by step so that everyone—even if it's their first time—feels comfortable. The idea is for you to have fun, improve quickly, and be surprised to find yourself saying, "How did I nail that so easily?"
Plus, the rules help the group run smoothly: fewer hesitations, more throws, and more laughter. And in a Viking experience, that’s practically a must.
Here comes my favorite part: the first few shots. We start with a guided warm-up where we fine-tune our technique and aim. Within a few minutes, you can already see the improvement: first you just graze the bullseye, then you hit it “by a miracle,” and before you know it, you’re already fine-tuning your aim to hit the center.
If you come with friends, it turns into some really good-natured friendly competition. If you come as a couple, there’s a fun “let’s see who wins” element to it. If you come with your family, it’s a unique way to unwind and do something together (and yes, the thrill of driving an axe into the log is universal). And if you come with coworkers… get ready: this is where myths are debunked, legends are born, and you’ll find out who has elite aim.

After the tournament comes something the teams love: the awards ceremony. And no, you don't have to be the champion to be recognized. I like to hand out awards with humor and style:
If it's a celebration (birthday, farewell party, anniversary), this part is a great way to wrap up the competitive portion and head into the end of the day on a high note.
And then comes the perfect finale: a toast. Here, the mead takes center stage once again. It’s time to look around and say, “What a great plan we’ve chosen.”
